Tour Guidelines

Safety and comfort are top priorities. Please review the following before your visit:

  • Dress Code: No shorts or open-toed shoes. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are a must. Bee suits are sting-resistant — not sting-proof — and they don’t cover your feet. Gloves are also available for guests. Please wear hair pulled back and out of face.

  • No Perfume or Strong Scents: These can agitate the bees.

  • No Pets: We love animals, but for everyone’s safety, please leave them at home.

  • Agreement Required: Each participant (or their legal guardian) must sign a hold-harmless agreement before the tour. Forms are available at the apiary or can be emailed in advance.

This agreement confirms your understanding of the natural risks of working near active hives. Emerald Hive and Honey reserves the right to refuse participation if a guest is acting in an unsafe manner near the hives
