Discover the Buzz: Beekeeping Classes for All Ages & Interests

Are you curious about beekeeping or looking for a unique, hands-on educational experience? I offer a variety of beekeeping classes throughout the year designed to inspire, educate, and get you up close with the fascinating world of honeybees.

One of our most popular offerings is our Introduction to Beekeeping class. This beginner-friendly session includes a hands-on hive tour where you'll suit up, open a real hive, and witness the bees in action. You'll learn the fundamentals of how a colony functions—from the queen’s role to the importance of worker bees—and gain insights into whether beekeeping is a hobby or lifestyle you'd like to pursue further.

🐝 We Bring the Bees to You!

In addition to on-site classes, I also travel to teach custom beekeeping and pollinator education sessions for homeschool groups, classrooms, and community events. These programs are designed to be fun, educational, and highly interactive for learners of all ages.

Whether you're teaching kindergarten or high school, I tailor each session to fit your group’s needs and learning levels. Our traveling programs often include:

  • Engaging lessons on bee biology and the life cycle of a honeybee

  • A look at the vital role of pollinators in our food systems and ecosystems

  • Hands-on activities, like examining real beekeeping tools and honeycomb

  • (When possible) live hive demonstrations or observation hives to safely view bees in action

These sessions are a great way to bring science, agriculture, and environmental stewardship to life for students in a memorable and meaningful way. They align well with many educational standards and are perfect for supplementing lessons on biology, ecology, sustainability, and more.

If you’re a teacher, homeschool parent, or event planner looking to add a buzzworthy experience to your schedule, I’d love to help you make it happen!
